Phase I: Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats (SWOT) Analysis
Phase I of the Corridor Study, a Strength, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats analysis, or SWOT, is completed. The SWOT identifies opportunities to improve the technology, operations and infrastructure along the corridor. The study was conducted by Olsson Associates, Parsons Brinckerhoff, and The Beckett Group. The SWOT analysis was completed in early 2015.
By collectively undertaking the SWOT analysis for the Great Northern Corridor, the eight states of the coalition can plan more strategically and do more to improve overall conditions in the corridor than if they act separately or in isolation. By acting and investing in unison to improve the corridor, the 38 million people who live and work within the corridor will benefit.
